MEDICAL EMERGENCIES REVIEW IN THE DENTAL SETTING
Self-Study | 3 Continuing Education Credits
This comprehensive self-study course provides dental professionals with a focused review of common medical emergencies that may occur before, during, or after dental treatment. Participants will strengthen their knowledge of recognizing warning signs, assessing emergency situations, and responding appropriately within the dental setting.
Topics include syncope, allergic reactions and anaphylaxis, respiratory emergencies, hypoglycemia, seizures, cardiac emergencies, stroke recognition, and other urgent medical events. The course also reviews emergency preparedness, patient medical history considerations, emergency equipment, team communication, and activation of emergency medical services.
Once registration and payment are successfully received, course access information and the self-study course link will be sent electronically to the email address provided during registration. Participants may complete the course at their own pace and convenience.
The course must be completed within 90 days of registration and purchase. Participants must complete all required course materials and successfully pass the post-course assessment with a minimum score of 75% to receive 3 Continuing Education Credits and a Certificate of Completion.

Your self-study course access link will remain active for 90 days from the date it is issued. All course requirements, including the final assessment and course evaluation (if applicable), must be completed within the 90-day access period to be eligible for continuing education credit.
Please ensure your full legal name and email address are entered accurately during registration. The participant's name provided at registration will be used for continuing education records and printed on the Certificate of Completion.
Participants must complete all course requirements to receive continuing education credit. For live virtual courses, full attendance is required. For self-study courses, participants must successfully complete the final assessment and any additional course requirements in accordance with The Institute for Allied Professionals' continuing education policies before a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
