PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE & NEGLECT

This comprehensive self-study course provides dental professionals with an essential review of child abuse and neglect and the important role dental healthcare professionals may have in recognizing signs of possible maltreatment.
Participants will explore physical and behavioral indicators of abuse and neglect, oral and facial findings, documentation considerations, professional responsibilities, mandated reporting awareness, and appropriate steps when concerns arise.
Once registration and payment are successfully received, course access information and the self-study course link will be sent electronically to the email address provided during registration. Participants may complete the course at their own pace and convenience.
The course must be completed within 90 days of registration and purchase. Participants must complete all required course materials and successfully pass the post-course assessment with a minimum score of 75% to receive 4 Continuing Education Credits and a Certificate of Completion.

Participants must complete all course requirements to receive continuing education credit. For live virtual courses, full attendance is required. For self-study courses, participants must successfully complete the final assessment and any additional course requirements in accordance with The Institute for Allied Professionals' continuing education policies before a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
